Artists Against Rampant Government Homophobia
A political fundraiser and one of the few books published by Alan Moore’s own imprint, Mad Love. Numerous artists take up pen against proposed anti-gay legislation in 1988 England. Contributors include Frank Miller, David Lloyd, R. Crumb, Hunt Emerson, Dave Gibbons, Posy Simmonds, Howard Cruse, Bill Sienkiewicz, Art Spiegelman, Kevin O’Neill, Neil Gaiman, Brian Bolland, Savage Pencil, Kathy Acker, Jamie Delano, Joyce Brabner, and Los Bros Hernandez, as well as, of course, “An Untold Tale of the Secret Sacred Wars,” a four-page DC-Marvel parody by Dave Sim and Gerhard. Also, the first publication of Moores The Mirror of Love, with art by Steve Bissette and Rick Veitch.
