Christo Vladimirov Javacheff, who created vast sculptural works by wrapping things around other things for many years with his wife Jeanne-Claude Denat de Guillebon passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020. One curious aspect of his life and career was his connection to Charles Schulz’s Peanuts comic strip. The Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California hosts an exhibit of Christo’s rendition of Snoopy’s famous doghouse and accompanying material about the relationship between the two titans of 20th Century art, including Schulz’s comic strip about Christo’s work.
