Jawbone Railroad

OK. Here’s a much belated plug. You like old-timey music? You going to Montana? Then be sure to check out my brother Blaise’s band Jawbone Railroad.

Jawbone Railroad

Here’s their bio: Playing all your favorite hits from the 20’s and 30’s, Jawbone Railroad is a personal attack on the forces that would slick-up and corporate-ize acoustic music. Driven by the propane-fueled fiddling of Jack Ausick, the string-busting guitar and banjo work of Blaise Arsenault, the relentless bass anchor of Suzanne Ford, and the rustic mandolin musings of Walt Burns, the gang is developing a reputation for remaining surprisingly tight in the heat of battle–a perception that is no doubt aided by their efforts at obscure song selection. (So then you guys won’t know when we get it wrong.)

I’m not sure in what sense(s) they mean tight…
