In the Edo period, Kagemaru is an Iga ninja who works as a secret agent for the Tokugawa shogunate. Under the orders of Hattori Hanzō, Kagemaru fights the enemies of the ruler in various parts of Japan.

Volumes 1–5 of the eight volume omnibus collection from 1985- of Giant Robo and Gigantor creator Mitsuteru Yokoyama’s 1961–1966 manga series Iga no Kagemaru (Japanese: 伊賀の影丸, “Kagemaru of the Iga Clan”). These are the original comics in Japanese.

Volumes 1–5 of the eight volume omnibus collection from 1985- of Mitsuteru Yokoyama’s 1961–1966 manga series Iga no Kagemaru (Japanese: 伊賀の影丸, “Kagemaru of the Iga Clan”). Originally serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday and collected into fifteen tankōbon volumes released between 1969 and 1976. Iga no Kagemaru was adapted into a live-action film by Toei in 1963 starring the legendary Hiroki Matsukata.

By Mitsuteru Yokoyama (横山 光輝), creator of Tetsujin 28 (Gigantor), Giant Robo, Babel II, Princess Comet and Kamen no Ninja Akakage (Masked Ninja Red Shadow).
