I mentioned to a few people this past weekend at the Comic-Con thing in San Diego that I found this great bookstore in the airport that had Jeffrey Brown’s Vader & Son and Lisa Hanawalt’s Fart Book (both from Chronicle Books) prominently displayed and just a real great selection of graphic novels overall (with Staff Reviews, even, as seen above… ahh… bless). I made a point of revisiting the store on my return trip. They really do have a choice selection of graphic novels. I had no idea then that Compass is part of the Books, Inc. regional chain that I mainly know from their Mountain View branch (which is slightly overshadowed by the mammoth Book Buyers used book store next door). They have a couple three branches elsewhere in the airport. These are proper little bookstores that are well worth your attention.
