13 Minutes of Love and Doom CD EP
13 Minutes of Love and Doom CD EP
Seven intense songs in 13 minutes on the second CD by Struction.
Struction was David Podrid (guitar, vocals), Paul Hill (drums) and Meira Sonin (guitar, vocals). They emerged in the early 2000's Albany, New York Punk/Rock/Noise scene, played all over the northeast and released two excellent CDs on the Noreaster Failed Industries (NFI) label. Metroland called them "a trio of extremely dedicated musicians who are very intense (and thoughtful) about what they do, making music that is loud, passionate and compelling." Read an interview with the band in Metroland.
"13 Minutes is an extremely intense noise-rock record, matching angular guitars and rhythms with abrasive male/female vocals. And while the record breezes past in a mere thirteen minutes (of love and doom), it leaves a lasting impression. Mathy noise rock is the name of the game, sort of like Faraquet and Jawbox sent through the woodchipper of experimental noise rock. This is vicious music, but it serves a role - thirteen minutes of Struction is like a massive mind-purge, blasting out all your thoughts and putting you very much "in the moment."" -Matt Shimmer - IndieVille
