Fantagraphics
Measles, from alternative publisher Fantagraphics, bills itself as comics “for all ages.” By Fantagraphics standards, Measles is indeed light fare, with a bunch of charming, inoffensive and generally entertaining stories that could be enjoyed by kids of all ages, and by girls at least as much as boys.
Gilbert “Beto” Hernandez, also the editor of the book, supplies the lead story “Venus,” about a young girl and her fantasy world. Other stories emphasize kid-oriented humor and slice-of-life episodes, written and drawn by presumably adult creators with an unusually sophisticated idea of what kids might want from a comic book.
