Ed Brubaker's Harvey Award nominated Detour was a landmark for this acclaimed creator as he explored exciting new directions. Featured in this issue is "Life on the Faultline" about a man who struggles with his hated roommates and the dystopian world around him as he tries vainly to cling to his moral standards. This hilarious black comedy seamlessly blends the real and the unreal to concoct a frightening vision of the not too distant future.

Detour marks a move from the autobiographical form to a more exploratory fiction. "It will have all of the elements that people loved about Lowlife but will have a lot more going on behind the scenes, a lot more humor, and a lot more experimentation," says creator Brubaker, "try to imagine if Buddy Bradley were written by Philip K. Dick."

Ed Brubaker's work, from his first series Lowlife to his his projects for Image, Marvel, DC, Vertigo and Dark Horse have garnered him several Harvey and Eisner Award nominations and wins and a lot of critical acclaim over the years. Brubaker's At The Seams from Alternative Comics earned him an Ignatz Award nomination for outstanting collection.
