The seemingly comprehensive coverage here a few weeks ago on the legacy of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop was woefully incomplete… because the story is still being told. Original BBC Radiophonic Workshop composers Dick Mills, Paddy Kingsland, Peter Howell, Roger Limb, and Mark Ayres have re-united, along with guests percussionist Kieron Pepper (The Prodigy) and Bob “The Engineeer” Earland (Roots Manuva, Wiley) for a series of shows and some guest appearances on BBC 6Music in recent days. You will want to go and listen again on the Beeb’s iPlayer to The Radiophonic Workshops exclusive session for Marc Riley (Formerly of the Fall!), which is only available for a few more days. The set includes a massive reworking of the Doctor Who theme among several other gems. See them in action below from September 13 of this year at Festival Number 6.
