Family Circus is an easy target for subversive alteration (quite often mashed with HP Lovecraft), but it managed to be pretty weird on its own and often genuinely funny. The classic “Can I cut things out of People” is one of the best, then there was the crossovers between Family Circus and Zippy The Pinhead in 1994-1995.
