Time Bandits is a lighthearted romp through time with a boy named Kevin and a wacky bunch of time bandits. They’ve stolen a map from the Supreme Being that identifies all the time holes—and wouldn’t you know it?—one of those time holes is right in Kevin’s closet. Art by David Lloyd and John Stokes, script by Steve Parkhouse. Based on the screenplay by Michael Palin & Terry Gilliam and the film directd by Terry Gilliam.
Kevin is eager to escape from his parents, who think a fully-fitted, automatic kitchen is the epitome of existence. Together with the bandits, he travels to Italy as Napoleon is conquering it, into Sherwood Forest to meet Robin Hood, to ancient Greece, to escape from some hungry ogres, and much more. It would all be fun and games except that the dread Evil Genius wants the map, too, and has a nefarious plan to get it from the time travelers.
