Description

The debut CD from Struction. Struction was David Podrid (guitar, vocals), Paul Hill (drums) and Meira Sonin (guitar, vocals). They emerged in the early 2000’s Albany, New York Punk/Rock/Noise scene, played all over the northeast and released two excellent CDs on the Noreaster Failed Industries (NFI) label. Metroland called them “a trio of extremely dedicated musicians who are very intense (and thoughtful) about what they do, making music that is loud, passionate and compelling.” Read an interview with the band in Metroland.

What a delectable little starter EP this self-titled “Struction”disc turned out to be! Struction are a trio with dual male-female lead vocals, playing loud and chaotic math rock that, when it’s not insanely catchy, is just insane. I could have stolen that description from my review of Kill Me Tomorrow, because there are similarities to be seen, but also plenty of originality in Struction. The half-dozen songs on this EP will find themselves right at home in anyone’s collection of Three One G-styled hardcore.” -Tim Krysko, Punk International

“Struction have recorded the best wrecking ball soundtrack I’ve heard all year, and hopefully you don’t need no stinking instructions on how to rock.” -Dave Madden, Splendid

21 minute 6 song audio CD. NFI, 2004.
