"This issue was a lot of fun to read. … This comic is, at heart, a caper, and it plays out perfectly, from patsies who keep getting picked on to a rotund villain who gets his in the end." — Rob McMonigal, Panel Patter
"What is distinctive about this comic is how both Frakes and Swardlick dazzle us with inventive narrative and artwork in the service of such a marvelous confection. This is like a truly fancy dessert or souffle, delicate yet full of life." — Henry Chamberlain, Comics Grinder
