Radon was a ’90s punk band whose legend stretched from Tallahassee to Boca Raton. They avoided the problems of fame by willful obfuscation and a premature break-up. What little influence they had is like a curse or plague, passed on the the works of their handful of fans. The initial pressing of their debut LP remains largely unsold, gathering dust two decades later on a warehouse shelf. Despite or because of that, it is a true masterpiece and a quintessential example of the failures and successes of the DIY scene. In a deft send up of the 33 1/3 books, Aaron and Travis tell it like it is.
