Andy's Chair 3.333

Welcome back. I'm not sure who you might think I am, but for the record: I am not the webmaster responsible for the Wayne Gretsky web page, nor do I have anything to do with Reebok. That out of the way, I just want to say... It's been a confusing buncha days lately.

For instance. My name keeps showing up in all these strange places. Not for the other Marc Arsenaults, but for me. I dunno why. No one asked me... oh well. For the record, NO I was not at the Wondercon in Oakland this April. I just can't figure it out.

Everything is coming out of joint. I dunno why the hell I thought living in the same house with a television would be a good idea... but here I am. It's like everything I watch is just fucked up. TBS showed Helter Skelter the other day and it had been radically re-edited in parts - there was just no way it could have made any sense to anyone. Videos I rent are weird, short American versions that are completely uncomprehendable (La Femme Nikita, for one) I'm sorry. I spend alot of time drawing and scribbling, its good to have extra background noise.

What does it all mean. Well the deal is... It's all SHIT. The stations don't care what they run between ads, as long as it fits the slots. Trinity Broadcasting Network is taking over. Multi-million dollar pledge drives, 600 stations worldwide. Pretty scary. Community TV and public access are not the answer. PBS is just scary. Who the hell is their audience? Are You Being Served is just lame. Ugghh. Get rid of the whole damn thing.

Meanwhile. The subject of today's rant is teeth. Be very afraid of your dentist. For more info, go to the Preventive Dental Health Association and learn about the wonderful things that fluoride and mercury (in amalgam fillings) are doing to you. I have fluorossis mottled and brittle teeth that have caused me a lifetime of pain and dental bills... and now I find out that the shit they're filling my teeth with is probably the cause of various neurological quirks. Fun Fun Fun.

Anyway, all this and less. A re-work of the Andy's Chair e-zine is floating in the back of my head, along with archives of the 3 print issues. It won't be until June, or so. I've been kinda busy.
