Re-presenting the 19-page debut story of the Foozle from 1979 by Marshall Rogers and Steve Englehart. The story “Slab” featured Klonsbon the Foozle (a large, ungainly black bird whose alter ego was a female reporter named Sweeney) and S-329, Agent of Storbor, in fairly straightforward super–hero tale. Two years later Eclipse Monthly brought back Klonsbon in Cap’n Quick and a Foozle, abandoning the alter–ego concept, and changing the character to a more lighthearted fantasy. — George Haberberger
